Kim If you make advance reservations, you have to take 2 nights. BUT call the park directly on Friday or Saturday, because you might have a chance of grabbing a non-reserved site for one night. They let walk-ins take 1 night.
Kim I just found out this park takes site-specific camping reservations, so if you want multiple sites next to each other, you can call and ask for them. (Call the park, not the 800 number.) Who all is staying overnight?
Kim
Just FYI, the park's lake is really small, so paddling isn't that exciting. The hiking and mtn biking trails, however, are great. The Annual ParkPass does cover the $5 parking fee.
Kim For those of you wanting to stay overnight, both George L. Smith and Magnolia Springs have cottages and campsites. Cottages book quickly, so reserve now. Campgrounds have hot showers. You'll find details and photos at www.GaStateParks.org
