Is the group "meeting up" at any particular time or place?
Really wanted to attend this weekend for the great classes! Will there be an encore?
FYI. The lodge restaurant has great food.
Sorry Kim, hope all is well and we will see you next time.
I had to release my campsite for the weekend and won't be able to come. My family and friends were affected in the Tennessee floodings this week, so I've decided to go there instead. I hope you all have a great time though!
I plan go TRAIL RUNNING some when classes are not in session (and identifying edible wild plants along the run). See me if you are interested in trail running this weekend.
Thanks Matthew. did anyone read his comment....free camping spots....first come first serve.
Toni, you can still do this. Keep calling for reservations and bring whatever compass you have.
One more thing...I have the round, black, "lensitic" (sp?) compass. Will that one do?
OK...Toni here. Tried to call Park for reservations last Thursday...got a message machine, instead. No one has called back. Guess I'll be camping in my car, too. SaW the post about it on my email. Can I still do this? -Toni P.S. Will be coming up on the Friday before as I'll be in Helen, Ga the previous week.
I will not be going, but if you take the road where most of the cabins are there is a dirt road. If you go down just a little way, not to far, you will see a couple of places to park your car and camp. it's free to camp at these spots. I was up there last year and saw some people camping there. Also on of the sites is next to the creek that makes up the falls.
I reserved a campsite, but my tent is small enough I am sure we can fit another one if anyone still needs a place to crash.
Melissa I think it is first come first serve. If your campsite is full, Kim will fill up quickly. get your spot peeps...don't wait till last minute.
Gail...Are you allowed to reserve specific sites? I thought it was first come first serve? Our campsite will be full since they only allow 2 tents :(
If the cottages are still available to share, you may want to grab a spot now. They to will go quickly. Time to make plans if you are planning to stay in the park for the weekend.
Kim and Melissa, are you still planning to split your campsites? If so, if interested you might want to grab a spot now because they are going to go quickly.
I'm up for either sharing a camp site (via my own tent, of course or even sharing a lodge. I'm a good bunk mate and I don't even snore! Would appreciate my own bed, though. -Toni
