Place: Vickery Creek park location in the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.
I plan on running about 6 miles. You don't have to run all 6 miles, or you can run more miles. There are 5.8 miles of trails with many loops that can make a trail run in this park as short or as long as you want. I hope to see you there!
The trails along Big Creek are very scenic with the sound of a rushing mountain creek and waterfall which make it an enjoyable place to trail run.
The trails have both flat and hilly sections. I plan on starting the trail run at the Roswell Mill trail parking area. WARNING!!! There are several entrances and parking lots to Vickery Creek NRA. Do not rely solely on GPS or Map sites to find the park, use the below directions. We will run on trails on the Vickery Creek map.
I'll be running an easy pace of about 10:00+ minutes per mile, and others may be present to lead some faster paces. If you can comfortably run 4-5 miles on roads then you are ready to take on the local trails with us.
**There is free parking at this parking lot**
