This fitness loop series will henceforth be referred to as the "Tame the Beast, Arkaquah," series. It is open to everyone but especially those planning to join " K " on the 13th of March for her "Tame the Beast" hike.

That's right, "Tame the Beast" Arkaquah to Brasstown Bald. This will be a series of " let's work on those trail legs" so we maybe we can enjoy the hike. I will add it is not a beginner hike.

We will start the series at Kennesaw Mountain. This is a fitness loop for intermediate or advanced fitness levels and it is up both Big Kennesaw and Little Kennesaw Mountain cross Burnt Hickory Road where we will take one of the loop trails and then cross both mountains again on the return to the visitor center. This can be very strenuous so make sure you are up for it. The distance is 81/2 - 10 miles.

Anyone is welcome to climb the mountain with us and return at their leisure to the visitor center. Please mention this in your RSVP if you plan to do this one.

Please bring plenty of water , good hiking shoes, hiking attire appropriate for the weather.
We will meet by the cannon in front of visitor center.
We will start at 9:00 so please be on time and we should finish by 12-12:30

This is great for cardio and endurance. So be prepared for a great workout.

If you want to climb both mountains and return via both mountains but not do the entire length, Burnt Hickory Road is a great place to turn around.
